11/24/11 - "10 Westmont Swimmers named to the USA Scholastic All-American Team!"
Ten Westmont swimmers where recognized by USA Swimming as 2011 Scholar All-Americans. To achieve this you must have at least a 3.5 gpa, completed grades 10, 11, or 12 and achieved an individual qualifying time. Congratulations to Maureen Barron, Jennifer Coady, Vincent Errichiello, Peter Errichiello, Genna Heidkamp, Alex Iwanicki, Hannah Lillioja, Lindsay Pavich, Elly Vitek and Haley Wickham! This is an incredible honor and the team is very proud of all of you!
11/19/11 - "Westmont Girls Tear it up at State!"
Congratulations toour Westmont Swim Club High School Girls at State this weekend! Our girls had a strong finish tonight at the State Finals, placing in the top12 in 8 individual swims!! Congratulations to all our high school girl swimmers on a terrific high school season. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at the Westmont pool soon.

11/17/11 - "16 Westmont Swim Club Girls to Compete at the IL HS Girls State Meet!"

10/7/2011 - "Illinois LCM Top Ten List"
Illinois has just recently posted the 2011 LCM Illinois Top Ten List and Westmont SwimClub had 25 swimmers make the list in 57 individual events!

Westmont Swim Club finishes 10th at Sectionals and the girls tied for 5th!!!
Congratulations to all our swimmers on a great meet.
Highlights:
Day 1- Katie Clancy finished 23rd in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:44.68. Conor Ozog scored in the 200 Breast on the guys side swimming a best time of 2:29.03. Kelly Ryan highlighted the day by winning the 100 Free with an Olympic Trail Qualifying time of 57.02!
Day 2- Hannah Lillioja finished 18th in the 100 Back with a 1:06.53 destroying her old best time. Kelly Ryan had another big night. After finishing 10th in the morning in the 200 free, Kelly came back at night and crushed the consolation heat with a 2:04.73, the fastest time of the meet. Kelly then finished 2nd in the 100 back just getting touched out for the win but lowering her Olympic Trial cut a little more in the event. To end the night our Women's A 400 Free Relay of Elly Vitek, Genna Heidkamp, Sara Shaner, and Kelly Rayn took 5th and our B relay of Alex Iwanicki, Kierston Farley-Sepe, Jennifer Coady and Maureen Barron finished 16th.
Day 3- Conor Ozog finished 12th in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:06.82. Genna Heidkamp broke the 1:04 barrier in the 100 Fly finishing 12th with a 1:03.93. Kelly Ryan took 2nd in the 200 Backstroke with an Olympic Trial Qualifying time of 2:16.65. Our Women’s 800 Free Relay or Elly Vitek, Jen Coady, Kristen Worthington, and Kierston Farley-Sepe finished the night taking 9th.
Day 4- Kierston Farley-Sepe took 20th in the 200 IM with a best time of 2:26.22. Vince Errichiello smashed his 200 IM prelim swim with a 2:12.58 and finished 15th in the event. Alex Iwanicki placed 24th in the 50 free with a 27.64 and Kelly Ryan finished 12th with a 26.93.
The team had its best relay swims on the last day. On the Men’s side the A 400 Medley Relay of Peter Errichiello, Conor Ozog, Vince Errichiello, and Ryan O’Malley almost broke 4 min and took 10th in the event. On the Women’s side the B 400 Medley Relay of Elly Vitek, Haley Wickham, Hannah Lillioja, and Maureen Barron Finished 20th and the A relay of Kelly Ryan, Jen Coady, Kierston Farley-Sepe, and Sara Shaner took 5th with a time of 4:26.25.

6/28/11 - "Westmont Swim Club takes home the 1st Place Team Trophy at the CSP Summer Invitational"
Congratulations to the team for capturing the first place team trophy at the CSP meet in St. Louis. Also congrats to Nolan Lahmann for taking home the 8 and Under Boy High Point Trophy. Besides losing our brand new tent during the storm on the first night there, this was a great meet!
6/15/11 - "Westmont Swimmers take down 5 meet records!"
During the 33rd Annual Daniel Jaekel Chicago Classic Meet hosted by Lake Forest on May 21-22, 2011, four Westmont swimmers broke five meet records. Anna Glowniak set a new meet record in the 9-10 100 meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:32.92. Donovan Lahmann broke the 9-10 50 meter Freestyle meet record with a 33.64. Elly Vitek set the Senior 800 meet Freestyle with a time of 9:56.71. Kelly Ryan took down two meet records; the Senior 100 meter Backstroke with a time of 1:07.66 and also the Senior 100 meter Freestyle with a 1:00.56. Congratulations!
3/6/11 - "Westmont Captures 3rd Place at Senior State Championships!"
The team finished 3rd at the Illinois 2011 short course Senior State Championships in a dramatic finish during the last day of competition, breaking three more team records in the process, bringing the total to 8 new records set at the meet!
Day 1 -
Our girls 800 Free Relay of Elly Vitek, Kristen Worthington, Jen Coady and Genna Heidkamp broke the old team record by six tonight swimming a 7:37.18. The girls moved up from there six place seed to a second place finish. Along with the 800 free relay Elly Vitek broke the 200 free team record with a 3rd place finish in the event with a time of 1:52.47!!
Day 2 -
Maureen Barron who went into finals tonight tied for 8th place from the morning won the 50 free from lane 1 with a new team record of 23.75. Vince Errichiello had an awesome night, finishing in the top 8 in three individuals and breaking the team record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.11 and setting a new team record in the 200 breast in a time of 2:08.72. To end the night the girls 400 Medley Relay of Jen Coady, Haley Wickham, Genna Heidkamp, and Maureen Barron captured 1st place with an exciting come from behind win!
Day 3 -Maureen Barron broke the 100 free record with a time of 52.05. Then Maureen teamed with Elly Vitek, Jen Coady and Genna Heidkamp won the Women's 400 Free Relay and set a new team record in the process with a time of 3:29.89! To wrap up the meet Mike Reed, Peter Errichiello, Ryan Greeenway, and Vince Errichiello finished second in the Men's 400 Free Relay with a record time of 3:07.93!

11/24/10 - "Westmont Swim Club was well represented at the High School Girls State Meet"
Congrats to all our high school girls at the State Meet! We are so proud of you! Westmont had 12 girls qualify in a total of 15 individual events at state; Grace Gibbons 200 Free, Elly Vitek 200 Free and 100 Free, Jen Coady 200 IM, Lindsay Pavich 200 IM and 100 Breast, Kerry Grosshans 50 Free, Colleen Barron 50 Free, Maureen Barron 50 Free, Hannah Veselik 100 Fly, Hannah Lillioja 100 Fly and 100 Back, Genna Heidkamp 100 Fly, Kristen Worthington 500 Free, and Haley Wickham 100 Breast.
Out of those twelve girls, four went on to final in their events; Jen Coady finished 9th in the 200 IM, Maureen Barron took 5th in the 50 Free (Maureen also had one of the fastest 50 Free split in the state at the end of the 200 Free Relay, splitting an incredible 23.1), Genna Heidkamp finished 3rd in the state in the 100 Fly (making herself the highest placing Butterflyer in school history at Hinsdale Central), and Hannah Lilloija after coming off of several injuries prior to the season took 11th in the 100 Back. 08/04/2010 - "Kelly Ryan at Senior Nationals"
Congratulations to Kelly Ryan in competing at her first National meet.. Kelly competed in the 100 and 200 meter Backstroke at the 2010 Long Course Senior National Championships in Irvine California in August. Results
Also Kelly has officially qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 100m Backstroke. As of now Kelly has the 47th fastest qualifying time in the country. Learn more Kelly will be a freshman swimmer at the University of Notre Dame this fall under Coach Brian Barnes and we wish her the best of Luck!
07/28/2010 - 2010 Long Course Sectional Championship Team,
Conor Ozog got the team going on the first day of the meet swimming a 2:29.25 in the 200m Breaststroke for over a six second drop from his previous best and went from 32nd to 13th. Later in the meet Conor swam a 1:07.39 in the 100m Breaststroke a four second drop from his previous best and went from 44th to 16th. Genna Heidkamp popped off a 1:04.25 in the 100m Butterfly with a three second drop from her previous best and went from 72nd to 14th moving up 58 places. Sarah Coady made it back to finals for the third year in a row in the 200m Backstroke swimming a time of 2:26.42. Kelly Ryan got a second swim in six of seven swims this past weekend. She placed 3rd in both the 100 and 200 Backstroke with U.S. Open qualifying times and also returned in the 50, 100 and 200 free, and the 200 IM. The Girls’ 400m Free Relay of Sara Shaner, Jen Coady, Maureen Barron and Kelly Ryan finished 9th with a Jr. National qualifying time and the Girls’ 400m Medley Relay consisting of Kelly Ryan, Haley Wickham, Genna Heidkamp and Sara Shaner finished 6th destroying the Jr. National qualifying time by more than three seconds and was just short of a Senior National Cut. Great Job to all the Westmont Swimmers!
07/28/2010 - IL 2010LC Regional Meet Recap,
Congratulations to all the Westmont Swimmers who competed at the Illinois LC Regional meet this weekend at UIC. There were several new Age Group State qualifying cuts and many best times achieved. The new Age Group State cuts were made by Thomas Willemse, Maud Willemse, Cole Grosshans, Amanda O'Bryan, Emily Graham, Hannah O'Malley, Olivia Yu, and Lucas O'Bryan.
